Pollack, cod, redfish, tusk, ling, mackerel, etc. Tim is an experienced fisherman, who can guide and assist you if desired.

We are an officially registered fishing company, which means that as an angler you can take up to 18 kg fish fillet with you to your home country, but you must register the caught fish via the Fiskedirektorat. You will find the rules for tourist fishing in Norway here

VIA FERRATA

The Fosen Via Ferrata is a completely newly established “climbing trail”, in the center of Åfjord, on the mountain Mælanakken.

The Fosen Via Ferrata is a completely newly established “climbing trail”, in the center of Åfjord, on the mountain Mælanakken. The guides are ready to take you on a fantastic climbing experience with a stunning view of the fjord and mountains, and if you look closely you might see salmon splashing in the Stordal River. The tour starts and ends right in the city centre, right next to the Fosen Fjordhotell.

We have a great environment for diving and the Åfjord coast is an eldorado for all types of divers.

BIRD WATCHING

The diverse landscape means that Linesøya has plenty of seabirds, waders, small birds and birds of prey.

Of common small bird species, for example, redwing, robin, dunnock, fitis, chiffchaff, whinchat, eurasian siskin, several tit species and goldcrest are some of the selection. European Goldfinch is a beautiful and colourful small bird that has become more common to see in Trøndelag in recent years. In addition, the long-distance migratory birds nest Sedge Warbler and whitethroat on the island. white-tailed sea-eagle, the common kestrel and short-eared owl are typical birds of prey, which are often seen during the day.

Our neighbor is an ornithologist and has mapped the bird life along a route by the farm. Posters with information about this can be found along the road from our farm and further west. The bird life here is so rich that this is just a small taste of the birds you can find here.

SeeSalmon Stoksund has easy access to their exhibition house. Here you can learn about life in the cages, how the farm is ran behind the scenes and follow the salmon through a video camera. Continuous video monitoring in the bottom of the cage is important to see if the fish are doing well.
The viewing centre has safety equipment to take you to the cages by boat. The cages are located on the open sea, where the ocean currents bring clean water to the salmon.

HURTIGRUTEN

Almost every day, the world-famous “Hurtigruten” passes in front of our farm.

Almost every day the “Hurtigruten” passes between April and September in front of our house.

There are 14 different ships and a different one passes each time. Hurtigruten ‘directly translated ‘the fast route’’ has been carrying post and passengers along the Norwegian coast for over 118 years. Holiday guests are delighted with the authentic atmosphere and enjoy the unique opportunity to experience life along the Norwegian coast and its fascinating and rugged nature from the sea side. These ships are part of everyday life in Coastal Norway. One of the Hurtigruten ships leaves Bergen daily in the direction of Kirkenes and embarks on a 12-day round trip. Every day a Hurtigruten ship docks in one of the 34 ports, of which Trondheim is one.

From the Stokkøya bridge you can see the Hurtigruten pass under you, and it is highly recommended to check it out if you are visiting. Don’t forget to wave to the passengers 😉

On Stokkøya, 400 meters long and the most beautiful bathing beach in Trøndelag.

The 400 meter long Hosnasanden on Stokkøya is the most beautiful bathing beach in Trøndelag. The beach has otherwise been named one of the world’s finest beaches by CNN. For even more fun and challenges on the beach waves, you can also rent a SUP board here.
